The IDS Project: It's the People, Not the Platform
The Information Delivery Services (IDS) Project is a “mutually supportive resource-sharing cooperative" with a “strong sense of community” and “a unified collection perspective” that enables us “to continually implement and objectively evaluate innovative resource-sharing strategies, policies and procedures that will optimize mutual access to the information resources of all IDS Project libraries.” We are also eager to share with ILL specialists at other libraries - because the more we all share, in terms of knowledge and library resources, the more we can all do for each other and for our library users. Specifically, we will present activities that focus on "the people, not the platform." This includes our mentor and mentor training program, our Regional User Groups and our Online Learning Institute. Libraries are encouraged to consider working with us or with other libraries to implement similar programs locally.
