ILL Borrowing Workflow Prioritization
This presentation will discuss how Millersville University prioritizes ILL workflow through various systems to fill requests efficiently, quickly, and with little staff. The use of ILLiad add-ons and custom queues to move borrowing requests through disparate systems in a prioritized fashion, with little staff intervention, allows us to process a high volume of requests with only two staff members and a handful of student employees. The discussion will center on book/returnable borrowing, reasons for the priority of each system/process, and our general philosophy of resource sharing. Discovery systems and article borrowing will briefly be highlighted.

Historian's use of ILL for returnables: reality vs. perception of turn-around time
The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) is committed to continuously improving services and recently implemented the ILLiad request management system, joined RapidILL and RapidR, and reviewed and revised workflows. The Humanities Librarian ramped up instruction efforts to further drive ILL use. Patrons responded by increasing their ILL requests, particularly for non-returnables.
Despite vastly improved ILL turnaround times and instructional efforts, some patrons, especially in the History Department, remain reluctant to make ILL requests of returnables.
To find out why, TCNJ Library’s Humanities and Access Services Librarians undertook a study of history faculty and their capstone students’ use of ILL for returnables. This presentation describes the results of the survey and a plan for instruction and outreach. Survey results are cross-referenced with actual ILL use statistics with an aim to aggregate reality vs. perception in the use of ILL services among local historians and their students.

Strategic Library Partnerships: More than Books - Lending Biomolecular Models
For nearly 15 years, the Walter Schroeder Library and the Center for Biomolecular Modeling (CBM) at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) have collaborated to maintain the MSOE Model Lending Library, a unique collection of physical models of proteins and molecular structures, created by the CBM using 3D Printing Technology. These models are available for short-term loans to educators nationwide for use in K-12 and college classrooms to help students understand complex science concepts. Learn how the Walter Schroeder Library leverages library practices and procedures to manage the collection and how this strategic partnership enables both departments the opportunity to contribute to MSOE's scientific and technical educational outreach efforts.

Poster Session: CSU+: Connecting 23 California State University Libraries
The California State University (CSU) System recently migrated to a new, shared library services platform to support collaborative management and delivery of library resources. The Unified Library Management System (ULMS) connects all 23 libraries from each of the 23 campuses. This effort was led by the CSU Office of the Chancellor, in conjunction with key stakeholders throughout the system. This poster will focus on CSU+, the resource sharing service created to maximize access to resources from all 23 libraries. It will also focus on newly formed collaborations, building stronger working teams within the CSU; as well as, addressing some of the challenges -- including changes to workflow, getting the buy-in from all parties involved, exploring governance, system-wide training, a more transparent communication model and more. The poster will also cover the CSU ILL group, Interlibrary Services Partner Information Exchange (I-SPIE) and its overarching role on CSU+.
